Dr Ian Barnabas joined AES in 1995 following completion of his PhD in analytical chemistry. He has progressed from assistant scientist, where he gained valuable experience in organic analysis and now oversees technical development within AES. A chartered chemist and member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Ian is actively involved in several committees within the Standing Committee of Analysts (SCA). In addition to this, he represents the UK in the Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) and International Standards Organization (ISO) committees.
