George Keenan is a team leader in the Organic Chemistry section of SW Scientific. He is responsible for the introduction of new analytical methods involving the use of advanced mass spectrometric techniques. He has over twenty years experience of mass spectrometry development and has been involved in several areas of analytical science, including the use of laser chemistry techniques for the analysis of environmental contaminants (BP and Edinburgh University) and pesticide residue monitoring (MAFF). Current work includes the analysis of endocrine disrupting chemicals in the environment, the assessment of accurate mass measurement techniques and high accuracy analysis by mass spectrometry. He is RSC Honorary representative at SW Scientific, Analytical Division Representative on the RSC (Edinburgh and SE Scotland Region) Committee and is actively involved with RSC Analytical Methods Sub-Committees.
