Biography
Dr Short has a first degree in biology (University of Bath) and a PhD specialising in the composting of industrial sludges (Open University). He has been studying and working in the waste industry for seven years, developing links with key stakeholders in the UK composting industry. His roles have included editor of publications at the Chartered Institute of Waste Management and co-ordinator of the London Remade eco- industrial site for organics. Now working as a consultant at Enviros Ltd, he is involved with a number of research projects surrounding composting operation and design and the development of waste- derived composts into saleable products.
