Biography

Bob Muir has been working for Defence and Science Technology Laboratory since completing his PhD in 1998. Bob's main areas of interest are the analysis of chemical weapons and their associated degradation products in the environment using GC-MS and LC-MS. Bob also conducts research for the Proliferation and Arms Control Secretariat which has resulted in several papers being published on various subjects to date. Bob's other main area of interest is in the application of chemometrics to analytical chemistry with the goal of optimising analyses to develop techniques capable of detecting trace quantities of analytes.
