Iranian experts have succeeded in producing a unique air pollution control device to prevent the emission of air pollutants and toxic gases generated by the vehicles, factories and homes, MNA reported.
The device, designed to be installed on the exhaust systems of the air polluting machineries, utilizes a combination of chemical and mechanical process as a result of which the emission of all the hazardous particles and gases in the air will be prevented, a report quoted the project manager as saying on Sunday.
The project to produce the system has been implemented by the 11-strong research team and has up to now cost Rls.20 bln, Mohsen Zanganeh said.
He called for the government’s all-out support for the project and warned that otherwise, it will not take long before other nations and rival companies would master the technology and gain the upper hand in the field.
It will take the producer about four years to install the required pollution control systems on the eight mln vehicles, 15 mln residential units and about 200,000 small and large workshops currently active across the nation, he explained.
