MEMBRANE SYSTEMS CORPORATION

Water Treatment Systems for Potable Water, Boiler Feedwater, Process Water, Wastewater Treatment Etc for Industries, Utilities, Municipalities and Agriculture; and Standard Package Reverse Osmosis System for Solutions to Industrial Production Water Treatment Problems

Membrane Systems Corporation designs, manufactures and installs water treatment systems for a wide range of applications. We offer a broad range of equipment and services to satisfy the desired water quality of virtually any water treatment requirement. Systems incorporate membrane, ion exchange and other water treatment technologies to meet diverse needs of industries, utilities, municipalities, and agriculture.

System applications include beverage manufacturing, chemical processing, electronics, metal finishing, potable water, pharmaceutical, power generation, mining, and petroleum.

The company is staffed with experts in membrane separation and system technologies that possess acknowledged records of outstanding performance in their respective specialties. Together, they have been involved in the majority of custom-designed RO plants in Florida, California, and elsewhere in the US, and around the world in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Mexico, Korea, and India.

The technical expertise and experience accumulated over the years by Membrane Systems has resulted in the development of an approach to managing water treatment solutions that is unique to the company. It is referred to as ``The Integrated Approach.`` It involves analysis of the water treatment requirements as an integral part of the overall process so that the design of the resulting system is fully optimized. This often results in the use of membrane technology along with conventional treatment methods or in the use of several types of membrane technologies at once. This approach results in a comprehensive long-term solution to the customer's water problem.

Membrane Systems offers the end-user a broad range of equipment and services, satisfying virtually any water treatment requirement. Capabilities encompass the design and manufacture of packaged units as well as construction and outfitting of complete, custom-designed water treatment facilities and include process engineering through operator training and plant operation and maintenance.

Membrane Systems engineers have specialized knowledge and experience in instrumentation and control systems which are the latest computer hardware and software for implementation control systems which incorporate SCADA systems and remote data logging devices.

Standard Package Reverse Osmosis System

The Membrane Systems RO-8S series of reverse osmosis (RO) membrane systems provide lasting, cost-effective solutions to industrial production water treatment problems. RO-8S-line of skid mounted, self-contained R.O. package systems are manufactured in sizes that produce from 57,600 to 288,000 gallons per day.

Extensive fluid treatment experience assures a high degree of system reliability and quality engineering, as shown in the complete line of Membrane Systems Products. The package concept gives you an efficient cost-effective approach to many applications. In addition to the basic R.O, plant Membrane Systems can provide all necessary peripheral equipment to ensure complete system compatibility. Many options are offered with the Package RO systems providing design flexibility for optimum performance.

Features

- Cartridge Filter- 316ss construction with 5 micron elements to protect the membrane elements
- Multi-Stage Centrifugal Pump - 316ss feed pump with a TEFC motor
- Low Suction Pressure Switch to protect feed pump
FRP Pressure Vessels - Mounted on support racks that allow for easy installation of elements
- TFC RO Elements - High salt rejection and good fluxes at a low operating pressure
Programmable Controller - A PLC mounted inside of NEMA 4 FRP enclosure. Allows for a water tight control panel
- Panel Mounted Meter - Flow indication for permeate and concentration. Digital flow monitor with totalization in PLC
- Conductivity Meter - Reads the permeate and feed conductivity. The system shuts down system on high TDS in permeate
- Motor Starter - Supplies a motor starter assembly for the high pressure feed pump
- Sample Valves - Sampling of each stage and permeate of each vessel. Also SDI sample port for feed water
- Cleaning Connections - Each stage can be cleaned individually
- Piping - SCH 10 316ss High Pressure / SCH 80 PVC Low Pressure

Additional Options for Design Flexibility for Optimum Performance

- RO Cleaning Skid - Chemically clean the membranes to insure a longer life.
- Chemical Feed System - Allows for a dilute chemical to be fed into the feed water.
- pH Monitor - Control of acid feed as pretreatment.
- ORP Monitor - Protect the system against chlorine in the feed.
- Feed water Dump Valve - Allows for stabilization of the pretreatment system prior to sending water to the RO.
- Automatic Rinse Valve - Allows for a high flush on system shutdown.
- Analog Module - Allows for an analog I/O in the PLC.
- 50 Hz Motor- Alternate electrical in 50 Hz.
