A Phase III Environmental Assessment is a systematic design and supervision of the removal of environmental contamination from a site. The removal plan is based on the results of the Phase II assessment, however, sampling and analysis is conducted as the remediation work progresses to confirm the Phase II results. This work is only undertaken with the involvement of local regulatory agencies, and with their agreement on the extent and direction of remediation.
