EarthSoft, Inc. has written EQuIS (Environmental Quality Information System), which is easily the most widely used environmental data management system in the world. EQuIS is used in Australia, the US, UK, and many other places, by the regulatory community, industrial property owners, many consultants, and is supported by many analytical labs.
EarthSoft is dedicated to continuing innovation around the EQuIS core modules, and helping our many clients and partners to implement successful large and small EQuIS installations. The use of EQuIS offers a paradigm shift to an industry very ripe for a standard built on top of commercial platforms. EQuIS offers integration, and has working relationships with many industry standard visualization and analysis application companies - helping us to deliver a complete package for the environmental data manager.
DUMPStat- Statistical Ground-Water Monitoring Software
DUMPStat is a complete statistical analysis and graphical display system with analytical data management capabilities.
Features
- DUMPStat is an easy to learn system for quickly performing state of the art statistical ground-water monitoring analyses
- Complete analysis of all your monitoring wells and constituents with a single mouse click
- Statistical procedures balance both false positive (indicating the presence of contamination when there is none) and false negative (missing true contamination) rates for your entire facility
- Complete consistency with the USEPA Subtitle C and D regulations and all USEPA guidance documents
- Helps to quickly and easily eliminate costly site assessments due to common misapplication of statistical methods to ground-water monitoring data
Operation
Data sets in most formats and of any size can be easily imported. The well network is set by simply selecting monitoring wells (e.g. upgradient and down gradient or intra-well or both) and monitoring constituents. Your entire site is then analyzed with a single mouse click. DUMPStat automatically performs upgradient versus down gradient or intra-well comparisons and provides the results in both graphical and tabular formats showing all intermediate calculations. Appropriate prediction limits, distribution testing, treatment of non detects, trend analysis, and outlier detection are automatically generated by the program.
DUMPStat Version 2.0
Features
- Worksheets now show step-by-step statistical calculations
- Graphs, tables, and worksheets displaying current data and analyses can be viewed outside of DUMPStat
- A new toolbar allows easy access to frequently performed tasks
- The analyses you prefer to run and the output you want automatically displayed (graphs, tables, worksheets, statistical power charts) can be selected with a single mouse click
- Specific database records can be searched for by date, constituent, sample point, or a combination of any three
- Lengthy lists can be dynamically searched to directly locate specific constituents
- New Data Summary Tables permit analytical summary on any combination of selected constituents, sample points, and date ranges. The output is displayed in a series of two-dimensional tables grouped by the third item
- The current site can be easily and directly reloaded if you wish to undo any changes you have made
- DUMPStat is now fully Year 2000 compliant. You define your `century cut off` year for properly interpreting any two digit dates
- The time to load the program and prepare the files for statistical analyses has been reduced
DUMPStat`s Statistical Advantages
- The most appropriate statistics for your site are automatically selected, avoiding those USEPA approved methods that result in excessive false positive and false negative rates
- Site-wide false positive and negative rates are directly computed via Monte Carlo simulation.
Uses
DUMPStat can significantly improve the productivity of engineers, ground-water scientists, regulators and owner/operators of waste disposal facilities who want to:
- Use statistical methods for ground-water, surface water and air detection monitoring, assessment or corrective action
- Create professional graphical illustrations of their data
- Monitor the progress of a corrective action on ground-water quality
- Analyze large amounts of environmental monitoring data
- Comply with state and federal government regulations for ground-water, surface water and air monitoring at waste disposal facilities or other industrial related activities
Anyone who needs to comply with state and federal regulations including:
- Numerous major waste disposal companies
- Environmental consultants
- Engineers and municipalities
Many state regulatory agencies also use DUMPStat to review data.
