As part of the effort to better serve clients in the fast growing Inland Empire region of Southern California, MWH opened a service center in Colton, CA, in the heart of the region. Initially developed as a facility for nearby clients to conveniently drop off samples for transport to MWH's main laboratory, the Service was expanded to include full service microbiology testing for coliforms and heterorrophic plate count in order to ensure that Inland Empire clients could cost effectively collect and have distribution or effluent samples analyzed within the short holding times (6-8 hours in some cases) mandated by 40CFR141, 40CFR136 and the California Department of Health Services.
