A biological wastewater treatment system used to degrade high levels of BOD:
- economical and reliable - Can decrease BOD 80-98%, area footprint of 36-45 square feet per 1,000 gallons of water treated per day - screens out all of the larger particulates first - The wastewater is flow equalized and pH adjusted (7-8) - bacteria ``eat`` the BOD and reduce level - used for irrigation, water-reuse or discharged to the POTW - Maintenance is 20 min/day
