Pure Assure carbons are specifically NSF listed for food grade applications but differ from traditional virgin activated carbon. Pure Assure brand carbons are extensively water washed NSF virgin carbon that is further activated in a NSF food grade certified kiln to enhance the kinetics and porosity of the carbon. The combination of the water washing and the further thermal treatment creates a high quality activated carbon that eliminates the risk of inorganic materials leaching into the pure water while the enhanced kinetics to offer superior chlorine removal. |
