A Sludge Macerator is a disintegrating device for raw sewage and sludges up to 8% solid matter in a pipeline under operating conditions ranging from –l bar to +4 bar. The cutters consist of a steel headstock with tungsten carbide wear blades rotating against a stationary alloy steel shearplate with a hardness of 50-55 rockwell, The size of the holes in the shearplate may be specified to suit the application. The cutters can be replaced without disturbing the mechanical seal. The seal will rotate in an oil bath to ensure adequate cooling and lubrication and will have sealing rings of differing grades of tungsten carbide.

New innovative design: allows cutter cartridge to be replaced in only a few minutes.The Haigh Pipeliner 202 consists of a conditioning cutterhead co-axially mounted specifically designed to handle raw sewage and sludge. An external method of pumping is required.

Strong agitation: Ideal for harmonizing waste water into suspension.
Easy to service: Cutter Cartridge can be changed within minutes with perfect alignment using only two allen keys. No special tools required.
Drawback design of cutter cartridge eliminates need to disturb pipework when maintenance is required. Cutter Cartridge: The drawback design of the Pipeliner allows the easy removal of the cutting elements without disrupting the surrounding pipework. A standby cutter cartridge assembly can be economically purchased to avoid the cost of an entire second machine.

The larger Haigh Pipeliner 302 is designed to disintegrate raw sewage at the rate of 45-100 Metres cubed per hour. Plus the option to handle sludge at the rate of 20-40 metres cubed per hour.

The Haigh Pipeliner 202 is designed to disintegrate raw sewage at the rate of 0-40 Metres cubed per hour. Plus the option to handle sludge at the rate of 0-20 metres cubed per hour.

The Haigh Pipeliner 125S consists of a conditioning cutterhead co-axially mounted specifically designed to disintegrate raw sewage.
