Rhuari Bennett is a support facilitator, dialogue co-ordinator and support trainer at The Environment Council. His responsibilities cover: facilitation of a range of stakeholder dialogues on behalf of business, government, NGOs, local authorities etc; delivering The Environment Councils training course, 'Facilitation Skills and Principles', as well as delivering tailored in-house training for organisations; co-ordinating the Local Capacity Building Programme that trains local authority staff to become trained facilitators and managing the BNFL National Stakeholder Dialogue, which deals with contentious nuclear issues. Prior to joining The Environment Council, Rhuari worked in West Africa for the UN Association International Service, building the management capacity of local NGOs. He also worked on a variety of participative development projects for an international development consultancy.
