Ian Phillips joined Bord na Móna as a graduate engineer in 1988 and became the project leader on an R&D program to develop a peat-based biological filtration system for air treatment in municipal wastewater treatment plants. In 1993 he established Bord na Móna`s UK Environmental Products business providing air pollution treatment processes for wastewater treatment plants. Ian has held the position of product manager since 1996 and is involved in the R&D of the MÓNASHELL process for VOC/Industrial applications, as well as business development in various international markets. Phillips graduated in 1987 from Bolton Street with a BSc in Mechanical/Production Engineering. He also completed a PhD in Environmental Engineering at Trinity College Dublin in 1993.
