In order to wrap a cube or a square bale, you must rotate the bale via two axis. These rotations should be exact and relative to each other to get the correct amount of film on every place of a bale. With round bales and some square bales it is possible to run both rotations of the bale at the same time.
The advantage with the bigger machines - starting with ROTOWAP 30 series- increases the throughput extremely -While one smooth rotation of the bale is done by the oscillation rollers, the second rotation done by the rotating wrapping, brings the 750mm wide film to the bale at the same time.

The Aim
The development of the waste bale wrapping machine Rotowrap has followed the target to get a reliable machine with a high output. In the last few years the baler output increased and they are still doing so. So naturally a wrapping machine which is working directly behind an industrial baler to wrap the bales should not slow down the system.
The Machine
The square bale wrapper Rotowrap is the versatile solution for wrapping square bales. Common sense design, quality components and precision engineering make the Rotowrap the trusted choice for users, contractors or others who demand high output and consistence performance under all conditions.
Packed with features including self loading system and fast positioning of the square bale into the wrapping position, hydraulically operated cut and tie system, auto bale leveling and the oscillation rollers the Rotowrap guarantees a top quality job by saving energy- and film costs at the same time.
The Automatic Cycle
The wrapping machine is placed in line directly behind the baler. When the bale is pushed forward far enough the ROTOWRAP machine recognizes the bale and the automatic cycle starts. The bale is transported into the wrapper between the oscillation rollers. These rollers lift the bale into the wrapping position and wrapping starts. The rollers rotates the bale around its horizontal axle and the wrapping arm with 2 film rolls of 750 mm wide film is rotating around the bale. The rotation of the bale on the oscillation rollers is smooth, exact and controlled and even with loose or week bales it is possible without lost. The patented roller measuring device gives a consistent and even wrapping regardless of the bale size and shape and also allows for extra care wrapping. According to special circumstances or customer needs, there are plenty variations to adjust overlap and number of layers to bring as much film as necessary and as less film as possible to the bale.
When the wrapping is finished the film is cut by a cut & tie system prepared for the next bale. This system saves film. With ROTOWRAP machines there is no need to bring extra film to the bale (like a ``knot``) to allow a control film break between the bales to separate them.
With the last step the machine brings the bale back to the conveyor system which transports the wrapped bale to the collecting conveyor. From here it can be taken away by forklift.
The Output
The output depends on the model and is between
- 10-20bales/h with Rotowrap TT
- 15 -25bales/h at Rotowrap 20
- 25 -35bales/h at Rotowrap 30
- 35-45 bales/h at Rotowrap 40 and up to 60 bales /hour at Rotowrap 60

PRODUCTS
All ROTOWRAP machines work with the same principle. Both rotations you need to wrap a bale are done at the same time.
RotowrappTT, the smallest machine, is working with this principle. A turntable is rotating the bale via the vertical axle and the oscillation rollers on the turntable are rotating the bale via its horizontal axle.
The bigger machines, starting with ROTOWRAP 20:
While one smooth rotation of the bale is done by the oscillation rollers, the second rotation done by the rotating wrapping brings the 750mm wide film to the bale at the same time.
All ROTOWRAP machines are using the 750mm wide film.
