Manco Energy Ltd is a Green Energy Supply & Management company.
It was formed to meet the growing demands in the market place for environmentally friendly energy supplying both fuel and highly efficient boilers to convert the fuel to heat.
It is Manco`s aim to secure fuels from sources where the environment benefit`s alongside our customers, both large and small.
Fuels
Manco Energy Ltd can supply all types of biomass derived fuel. We are very happy to provide any type of fuel to any customer. As the industry develops, a national distribution network will emerge. Please talk to us, we can normally find a fuel source that is deliverable to your boiler.
We are also able to provide a high capacity chipper to convert round timber to wood chip or a large grinder to convert Willow or logs to a fuel accepted by most wood chip type boilers.
Wood
There are 4 categories:
- Virgin - taken direct from the tree

Sawmill residue - virgin wood discarded during the saw milling process

Industrial - free from impurities, is often recovered from the secondary processing of virgin wood

Recycled - re-used, often taken from packaging, pallets or transport timbers
Power Pellets
The most efficient and cost-efficient format for bio-fuels is the pellet, which is, small, dense, and one of the most manageable and pleasant forms of fuels available - of any type. We produce these from any raw material, once proven as a bio-mass fuel.

Straw
All straws have a similar calorific value, Manco Energy Ltd have access to several types, including wheat, barley and Oilseed rape. This bi-product of arable farming has yet to be fully exploited as a fuel source.
Energy grasses, such as Miscanthus and Reed Canary Grass combust in a similar way to straw, these are now considered sustainable alternative crops.
Others
Short Rotation Coppice [Willow] has been grown for some time in the UK but on a relatively small scale. SRC has been grown successfully in the UK and is now being evaluated by the large electricity producers.
Boilers
Boilers utilizing biomass fuels are specialized equipment. Their development has been influenced by key issues like - fuel handling and boiler fouling, secure fuel supplies of the correct quality material.
LIN KA has a proven track record in boiler design, supply and installation.
Lin-ka has developed three distinct systems:-
Bale-Fired District Heating System
Utilizing large straw bales for fuel and designed for housing/industrial estates. A purpose built heating plant providing up to 10MW, it is an advanced automatic straw-fired system.
Fuel Storage
The system is supplied with fuel by means of an automatically controlled crane or conveyor, which can be delivered in one or to storeys.

Boiler Room
The pre-combustion chamber and boiler are constructed as one unit. Flame and gas are drawn into the boilers main combustion chamber before passing through primary and secondary convectors. In plants dependent upon optimized fuel utilization, an economizer with integrated by-pass regulator is built into the boiler. The boiler and firebox are equipped for automatic ash removal through a port beneath the boiler. A mechanical conveyor transports wet or dry ash to a container.
H-Boilers- A Straw or Wood-Fired System
The design of the Linka H range makes it the optimum solution for small straw or wood-fired systems, ideal for large farms and small heating plants.
The boiler is a conventional 3-pass boiler with horizontal boiler flues and a large firebox, which makes the boiler ideal for solid fuels since it allows for optimum burning of the material. The large convection part with its smooth flues ensures effective cooling of the flue gases, thereby achieving an efficiency of up to 95%.
If energy policies should change the Linka boiler can be fitted with oil or a gas burner, whilst retaining the same high efficiency.
P-Boilers-A Wood-Pellet fired System
The firing system is supplied with wood pellets by means of an inclined transportation worm.
The size of the system is typically somewhere between 400 kW and 1500 kW. Wood pellet firing is a very convenient and efficient method of producing heat. The system is established with either an external glass fibre silo or container, or an internal silo. It is notable that wood pellet firing means a saving of about 60-65% compared with heating with oil or gas.
System Details
The firing system is supplied with wood pellets by means of an inclined transportation worm from the other container, where wood pellets are stored. The fuel container is made so that it is possible to blow the pellets into the container, or fill it with a conveyor from an ordinary truck.
Manco Energy Ltd can meet client requirements in a variety of ways, from complete turn key installation of boiler systems, to supply and install boilers or fuel handling systems only, to build own operate and transfer boilers i.e. operate as an energy supply company (ESCO).
Stoves
These stylish pellet burning stoves are exclusive to Manco Energy in the U.K.
Models with wall forced discharge:
Alba Red and Apricot and Fox Steel and Ceramic
They have a metal structure with a grey steel front and cast-iron hearth. Delivered complete with a humidifier, retracting clothes rail, incorporated synoptic panel and radio control.
Models with natural vertical discharge:
Alpha Steel, Aries Cast iron, Hydra Ceramic, Mars Marble, Rhea Steel, Vega Soapstone, and Pellbox Cast Iron
They have a metal structure with a thick steel front and back. The base is cast-iron and the hearth is Ecokeram®. Delivered complete with synoptic panel and timer.
