Michael Pace is a Senior Scientist and Assistant Director at the Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook New York. His research focuses on aquatic ecosystems. He has conducted studies on a wide diversity of aquatic systems including salt marshes, lakes, the Hudson River, and the Pacific Ocean. The whitepaper is the result of a 20-year collaboration with James Kitchell.
