Maintenance Contracts
There is a 12-person team dedicated to providing 24-hour service with breakdown cover for 300 + Compactors, Balers, Shredders, Bin Pushers & Drum Crushers across the U.K..
We also have a number of tried and tested sub contract companies whom can be called on at short notice to compliment the engineering team should we require them.
The engineering team is led by a hands on manager who has an office-based assistant taking emergency calls, organising work schedules, emergency cover and arranging services full time. The engineers work on a stand by rota taking calls 24 hours per day 365 days per year. The whole team genuinely believe that every customer of Environmental Waste Controls Limited is a reference site and care deeply that the compactor you buy is not only serviceable but more importantly that it maintains high compaction ratios for its life expectancy. In your case 15 years.
Our engineers carry all tools necessary to repair damaged or faulty machines and sufficient spare parts to resolve the most common part failures. You will be pleased to hear that part failures are mostly due to misuse or abuse and not because of defective parts. Our engineering team will also assist you if the machines are damaged by the waste contractor, unlikely but not impossible, to claim on the waste contractors insurance. If they are our waste contractors then we will liaise with them direct after first repairing the machine for you.
Most of the damage to compactors we are called out to, result from lack of preventative servicing. For instance oil leaks if not detected early enough can result in serious damage. Oil leaks also result in decreased ram pressures, which lead to increased collections and significantly increased running costs. Oil leaks can be caused by customers neglecting to clean behind the inspection hatches and amassing waste damaging the rams or hoses, or by the waste contractor being reckless during loading and or unloading. Fortunately these events are few and far between. However they are detected during preventative services.
