Source Emission Monitoring
TEOM® Series 4200 Combustion Efficiency Monitor
The TEOM Series 4200 Combustion Efficiency Monitor (CEM) provides the data necessary to optimize combustion efficiency in real time. This industrially hardened analyzer accomplishes its task by automatically measuring the amount of residual carbon in fly ash, and makes this information available to plant personnel. The carbon in ash test performed by the monitor is similar to methods carried out in plant laboratories. Carbon-in-ash is a key indicator of combustion efficiency at coal-fired power plants. The Series 4200 monitor provides a direct, efficient approach to automating this type of measurement through its sampling and analysis procedures. The sampling of particulate matter from the flue is performed isokinetically.

TEOM® Series 7000 Source Particulate Monitor
The TEOM Series 7000 Source Particulate Monitor provides an integrated approach to stack particulate sampling and monitoring by generating immediate results at a high level of quality assurance. Like traditional stack particulate sampling methods, the device determines the flue velocity, collects particles isokinetically on a filter, and performs a direct measurement of their mass. The dependence of measurement results upon individual operators is substantially reduced through automated computations of moisture content, molecular weight and flue velocity. The monitor also ensures high-quality mass concentration determinations through a dynamic isokinetic sampling scheme that automatically adjusts to changes in source gas conditions.
Model 43i-HL High Level SO2 Analyzer
A major product in Thermo’s new iSeries product line is the Model 43i-HL SO2 analyzer. Using pulsed florescence technology, the Model 43i-HL SO2 measures the amount of sulfur dioxide in the air from sub ppm levels up to 1,000 ppm in standard range mode and from 100 ppm up to 10,000 ppm in extended range. Dual range and auto range are standard features in this instrument as well as temperature and pressure correction. User settable alarm levels for concentration and for a wide variety of internal diagnostics are available from an easy to follow menu structure.
Features:
- Ethernet connectivity for efficient remote access
- Enhanced user interface with one button programming and large display screen
- Flash memory for increased data storage and user downloadable software
- Enhanced electronics design optimizes product commonality
- Improved layout for easier accessibility to components
