Automated PM Monitors
TEOM® Series 1400a Ambient Particulate Monitor
The TEOM Series 1400a Ambient Particulate Monitor is the choice of air pollution monitoring networks worldwide to measure particulate mass concentrations continuously. The system has become the de facto standard for particulate mass concentration measurements in areas such as Canada, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and France due to its high data quality, reliability and unparalleled support. The instrument incorporates the patented tapered element oscillating microbalance, a micro weighing technology that provides true mass measurements.
Features:
- FilterBased Mass Measurement
- Unique Principle of Operation
- Unsurpassed ShortTerm Precision
- Complete Outdoor Enclosure
- Quality Assurance
- Regulatory Approvals
Series 8400S Ambient Particulate Sulfate Monitor
The Series 8400S Ambient Particulate Sulfate Monitor provides time resolved quantitative measurements of the particulate sulfate contained in suspended fine particulate matter (PM-2.5). In its standard operational setting, the instrument generates a new particulate sulfate measurement in micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³) every ten minutes. It is a rack-mountable, automated monitor designed for continuous, unattended operation in air quality monitoring stations. Ambient particulate sulfate can represent a large fraction of the PM-2.5 mass concentration in areas that combust fuels that result in sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions.
Series 8400N Ambient Particulate Nitrate Monitor
The Series 8400N Ambient Nitrate Particulate Monitor provides time resolved quantitative measurements of the particulate nitrate contained in suspended fine particulate matter (PM-2.5). In its standard operational setting, the instrument generates a new particulate nitrate measurement in micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³) every ten minutes. It is a rack-mountable, automated monitor designed for continuous, unattended operation in air quality monitoring stations. The Series 8400 unit incorporates a patent- pending, direct measurement principle developed by Aerosol Dynamics, Inc. The methodology has proven itself in a variety of field measurement programs, and has been the subject of numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles. The default 10 minute instrument cycle is made up of an 8 minute sample collection period followed by a 2 minute analysis phase.
Automated PM Trending Monitors
DataRAM 4TM
The DataRAM 4TM continuously monitors and logs the real-time concentration and median particle size of airborne dust, smoke, mist and fumes. In addition, air temperature and humidity are displayed and recorded. With appropriate particle discriminators, it provides measurements correlated with PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0, and reparable fractions. Its patented two-wavelength particle detection system provides the volume median particle diameter of the sampled aerosol, over a concentration range up to 400 mg/m3. The DataRAM 4TM monitors the concentrations of fine particulates in ambient air by a combination of aerodynamic size pre selection, two wavelength nephelometry, and concurrent sensing / correction for relative humidity.
DustScan Sentinel® Aerosol Monitor (Model 3030)
The DustScan Sentinel Model 3030 Aerosol Monitor is a small monitoring system in a weather-protective enclosure for assessing the concentration of particulate matter (PM) in ambient air. Because it collects and stores information in real time, it is an ideal trending tool. The device can be used for short-term monitoring projects as well as at fixed air monitoring sites. Its data storage and transmission capabilities make it convenient to retrieve field information. The ability to run off of internal batteries for over 48 hours or on solar power provides sitting capabilities independent of the power grid.
Features:
- Two Instruments in One
- Input/Output Capabilities
- Light Scattering Technology
- Inlet Performance
PM Samplers
Mini-Partisol® Model 2100 Air Sampler
The Mini-Partisol Model 2100 Air Sampler is a small, battery-, solar- or AC powered sampling platform for indoor or outdoor particulate matter (PM) and/or gas sampling applications. It is designed for use with a variety of collection hardware. The device has many features in common with the other members of the Partisol® Family of Air Samplers, such as ActiVol flow control, a wind vane/anemometer connection, and conditional sampling. The sampler is quiet enough to be used indoors and rugged enough to withstand outdoor conditions.
Features:
- Flexible System Configuration
- Rugged, Quiet and Compact
- Filter Sampling Configuration
- Speciation Sampling Configuration
- Data Handling Capabilities
- Size-Selective Inlets
Partisol®-Plus Model 2025 Sequential Air Sampler
The Partisol-Plus Air Sampling System defines the state of the art in flexible, field proven sequential air sampling. The device exchanges 47 mm diameter sample filters automatically by a user-defined time interval or other condition. It has a capacity of 16 filter cassettes, allowing for two weeks of unattended daily sampling of particulate matter (PM). The system forms the backbone of the USEPA PM-2.5 national sampling network, and is being implemented by air monitoring organizations worldwide for the sampling of PM- 10, PM-2.5, PM-1 and TSP onto 47 mm diameter filters.
