When looking out for the options of alternative energy, conservation is the first thing that needs to be taken care of.

Considering this, solar energy is the only lucrative option available. A team of researchers at Israel’s Ben Gurion University has found a material that is more expensive than silicon, but also more efficient when used with a reflective dish.

According to Israeli scientists, reflective dishes may be able to make solar energy competitive with conventional sources of power.

In this regard, researchers have designed a reflector made of mirrors that collects and intensifies light.

The United Nations Environment Programme reported that nearly 50 million tonnes of e-waste is disposed of each year worldwide, and up to five per cent ends up in landfills.
