It’s time to revamp our strategies and introduce new ones to protect the environment. An important step in this direction is persuading people to recycle their garbage.

An exciting new garbage system, which charges residents based on how much they throw out, is being implemented in Henry County, Georgia.

A well planned waste management system was the need of the hour in the popular tourist destination – Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka. A sewage treatment plant that will help to reduce the adverse environmental impact in the area is thus being finally put in to place.

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), a body set up by the government in 2005 to tackle the problems of Britain's mounting waste, has selected a US-led group to run their low-level radioactive waste repository.
