Pesticide Risk Assessment
Current registration procedures require environmental risk assessments for all pesticide active ingredients and products, according to EU directive 91/414. Enviresearch staff regularly conducts complete assessments, covering all the relevant groups of organisms: birds, mammals, fish, invertebrates, plants and microbes.
Pesticide Fate Modelling
Current registration procedures require the prediction of pesticide concentrations in soil, ground water and surface water (directive 91/414). Enviresearch staff are experts in the use of the FOCUS standard modelling scenarios, and use these models to fulfill the basic modelling requirements for Annex 1 listing of a compound. For re-registrations or for new compounds, you can take advantage of over 6 years experience in using these models.
Registration authorities often require more detailed modelling studies than FOCUS standard scenarios. That is why we offer sophisticated model analyses using FOCUS or other models. You can take advantage of our experience in preparing data, explaining the results and understanding the limitations of each of the models.
Experimental Analysis and Planning
Pesticide fate models are excellent tools for helping to plan experiments. By predicting the most likely outcome, you can optimise your sampling schedule. Field and lysimeter studies are expensive, so let us help you to obtain the best value from your analyses.
Field and lysimeter data can be hard to interpret, but models can help to explain the results. If you wish to understand why you obtained a result, you could use our expertise in applying models to actual experimental situations.
Dossier Preparation
All assessments must be presented to the regulatory authorities in the correct format. Enviresearch delivers its reports in the format of your choice, whether as study reports or ready for direct inclusion in the dossier.
