With BRAWOLINER® a concept has been developed that brings long-term protection and rapid assistance in Sewer Renovation based on the principle of textile manufacture for medical industry products - the core business of KOB - a method for the manufacture of BRAWOLINER® hoses for the renovation of sewers has been developed.
Even today - and above all with respect to the future provisions of legislation -, the new principle featuring easy handling and supply of the state of the art technical equipment for installation is the offer, that the market urgently requires.
The BRAWOLINER®- renovation system is already being successfully installed throughout the World.
The BRAWOLINER® total system is the first pure house connection method that complies with the extensive testing criteria of the German Institute for Constructional Engineering (DIBt) in Berlin, and has also obtained DIBt certification with the Registration No. Z-42.3-362.This provides (private) end customers as well as installation firms the security of receiving or respectively utilising a system with certified proof of quality.
The BRAWOLINER® renovation system has also been awarded with the Innovation Award from the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The award-winning cipp liner is available in the following two application variations:
- BRAWOLINER® with loose foil
- BRAWOLINER® Fix with laminated foil
Each variation is available in lengths of 25 m, 50 m and 100 m for the nominal widths 70 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm, 150 mm and 200/250 mm.
The green colouring of the BRAWOLINER® resin ensures an optimal visual control and thus also ensures security for the impregnation of the liner with the resin.
BRAWOLINER® - Renovation System
BRAWOLINER® enables a flexible, fold-free renovation of previously unlineable sewer pipes with diameter DN 70 to DN 250. For this, a new type of seamless 100% polyester textile hose was developed. This is utilized in conjunction with a flexible foil hose in leaky residential sewers with bends up to 90º. The expensive and time-consuming open construction method is also replaced through a clean, economical and environmentally-friendly alternative!
BRAWOLINER® also ensures an extraordinarily high degree of structural capacity. The BRAWOLINER® is installed with the environmentally-certified, styrene-free epoxy resins BRAWO 1, BRAWO 3 and BRAWO Therm. The BRAWOLINER® resin is an application-oriented special product for utilization in sewers that cures ambient as well as hot cure, and in combination with the special textile substrate of the BRAWOLINER® also ensures an extraordinarily high degree of structural capacity.
BRAWO 1
This fast-reacting epoxy resin is especially well-suited for renovation according to the ambient-cure method. The resin's cure time amounts to approx. 10 hours at a temperature of 10 ºC. A hot curing is also possible and useful here (cure time with warm cure ca. 2 hours).
BRAWO 3 - For the Warm-Cure Method
This slow-reacting epoxy resin is preferably, utilised in the event of renovation repairs using the hot-cure method. It offers the same viscosity as the BRAWO 1 resin, but also offers a much longer processing time (3.5 hours at 15 ºC). With a temperature of 10 ºC (cold-curing), the cure time amounts to 30 hours; however at 50 ºC (hot-curing) only 3 hours.
BRAWO Therm - For Renovation Repairs with Flow of Warm Sewage/Liquids
This special resin is designed for projects where permanently warm sewage flows through the sewer. The cure time here amounts to about 3 hours at 80 ºC.
BRAWOLINER® Equipment
The BRAWOLINER® renovation system is completed with the BRAWOLINER® equipment - an assortment of equipment and components that ensure an optimal application of the BRAWOLINER® system. This includes:
- Inversion drum
- Impregnation system
- Hotbox
Moreover, vacuum pump, compressor, climate control cabinet, cutting robot, etc. also belong to the BRAWOLINER® equipment.
Our consulting and training spectrum is also supplemented through the Vehicle instillation Service
Inversion drum
Occasionally working in relatively narrow spaces, (cellars, alleys, etc.) the BRAWOLINER® inversion drum proves to be extremely advantageous here through the marginal size and through the ergonomically designed handle. The drum can be brought to the desired site relatively easily by two people.
Impregnation system
The BRAWOLINER® impregnation system (driven by an electric motor) assumes the task of evenly distributing the resin filled in the BRAWOLINER® throughout the entire sock length, and working the resin in without stretching the BRAWOLINER®. The system consists of a three-metre long conveyor belt, an impregnation roller (also electrically driven and continuously variable in height), and a control element for regulation of speed as well as the conveyor belt's direction of movement.
A 2.5 metre long, stainless steel & plastic conveyor - that is attached to the system in no time at all - serves as an extension of the impregnation system. The impregnation system is one of the core components of the BRAWOLINER® installation system. A good and careful impregnation of the liner is a decisive point for a high-quality renovation.
Hotbox
The renovation using the hot-cure method can take place through the utilisation of the BRAWOLINER® HOTBOX. In this case, the special advantage is that the curing of the chosen resins can be rapidly accelerated. Even in the event of the utilization of a slow curing resin with a processing time of 3.5 hours (BRAWO 3), a curing time of ca. 3 hours is possible. This economical compact heating device quickly pays for itself.
